The Mark has been set ... the Challenge has been issued

There's a month left in our first Endomondo Challenge! Crazy to think that a year has come and gone so quickly. It's amazing to me to be able to look back and see the month to month history. When the big mile months were. To think back and wonder what was going on during that time. Most of all, To see what was accomplished! Miles and miles of carving fun and therapy!

Whether you're in the top 10 or ranked near the bottom, it doesn't matter. This wasn't a competition! It was a challenge to us, to share, to encourage, and well, to brag! To say you were a part of it, The Carving Community!

There's a little bit of a debate with the use of the endomondo app. Their failure to heed our requests to add our beloved activity, Trikking, has put a disdain to it's use. I say whatever, it's free! And they have the option for us to share as a community. If you're looking for an app that has trikking in its activity list, try MapMyRide or SportsTrackLive (I believe, they were the first app to feature Trikking)

As this Challenge ends, the 2014 Carving Community Camaraderie challenge takes over. The important thing to note is to switch your setting to "other". A look at the apps use of the activity shows us giving credit to "roller skiing". The setback is that we won't be getting all the data we're use to having. Will the app add us? I personally doubt it. They have over a hundred thousand users. Our numbers don't warrant it, currently.

So, another round of pleas for our add, No thanks. The app is free. You can choose to use it or not. It doesn't mean you're left out of the challenge, either. there are many apps out there. Share your ride data and progress, we'll cheer you on no matter what you use. I might suggest to use the apps that recognizes us and share the data to the challenge. All we ask is that you "step up" and share with us

  1. Why not use an app that DOES recognize us? Isn't MapMyRide and SportsTrackLive both free?

    1. The reason we're using endomondo is for this challenge feature. The other apps don't have it. I'm looking for some other vehicle to use. Or hope that someone else can come up with something they will share.
